Sprinkler System Supervision

Sprinkler System

Wet pipe systems are the most common fire sprinkler system. A wet pipe system is one in which water is constantly maintained within the sprinkler piping. When a sprinkler activates this water is immediately discharged onto the fire.

Area of Refuge

Area of Refuge

The "Areas of Refuge" or "Areas of Rescue Assistance" system was established in the event of an emergency, to provide a location for building occupants, who cannot traverse the stairs without assistance, to be able to assemble by an exit and await assistance or instructions by the first responders.  There is open two-way communications between a control area and the various areas designated as areas of refuge.

Voice Evacuation Systems

Area of Refuge

Voice evacuation systems are becoming increasingly common as more and more jurisdictions are requiring them in their fire codes. However, designing a system that has good intelligibility is much more difficult than simply using ordinary sounders. Contact the professionals at Security First Inc. for design & installation.
